ive always been a chevy guy...camaros..trucks..el caminos.. bout 7 years ago i had i built 73.traded 2 celicas and a corolla for it..lol. and hated it!..so i sold it for 700 dollers. witch i regret everyday..im on the east coast for the next 6 months..back home in so cal i have a 75 shortbed that im restoring and slamming and everything...i have a 84 z28 with a 1965 327.....and a longbed that ill be restoring to sell..so out here i found a 1969 running nova...no dents.all interior...registerd and running.soon it will be an ss!...anybody have advise in making the conversions..i got a bunch of 69 ss parts of ebay...but does anyone know what exzact specs came with the ss?...thanx...eric

Basically the few differences are:
Grill
Rear body panel
Interior door panels(woodgrain)
Steering wheel
Hood has chrome vents(fake but look like vents)
SS models have disc brakes up front
Wheels?

hey thanx....i cant belive thats all to make it a ''ss''...clone..i have the front and back items....i just need the hood vents..disk brakes..im so glad its sky blue....cause that color looks good on the car..i wont have to strip and paint the interior...not yet at least........so after i do all the bodywork and paint it...then ill be throwing all the ss items on.....

I've collected a bunch of SS items for my 63 wagon. Since they never made one, it won't be a clone. I guess it will be a "they shoulda made one". I'm sure some seeing it will swear that they did.;)

There is nothing rong with building a clone as long as you don't try to sell it off as the real thing. My Chevelle is a SS clone, so what. It is MY CAR and I am not selling it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:waving:
