Guys Gonna Relocate My Rear Shocks On The 63>
Going To Spring Floaters With Ladder Bars Welded To The Rear,and Front Mounted At The Center Of The Cars Weight-
Should The Rear Shocks Be As Vertical As Possible?
Like A Crossmember Top Mount And Mounts On The Rear End Housing-almost Vertical?
I Want This To Hook Well-
Probly Use Rear Coil Overs-
9 Inch Ford-but That Dont Matter

yes...make a crossmember out of 1" tubing and brackets on the axle tubes. mount shocks vertical

They should lie in the plane of the axle at no more than a 40° angle from verticle (the closer to verticle the better they dampen).

I have never been a fan of sliders. Are you going to use a panhard bar to hold side to side stable?

Dave,they Way I Understood The Comp Eng Floaters Did Not Need A Panhard Bar-im Used To Coil Springs On The Chevelle,this Leaf Deal Is Newto Me On Getting It To Track Strait And Hook.
I Dont Grasp The Way The Floaters Work-have Not Had Any In Hand
If Need Be I Will Panhard It.
Why Dont You Like Floaters?-just Asking--

Used to use floaters with a set of Competition Engineering ladder bars thirty years ago. They fixed wheel hop, but created another problem with lateral control of the rear end (especially on the top end). By the time I nailed that down with a panhard bar, I went with a four link for better adjustment and fewer compromises.
