I just purchased another Nova parts car it is a 74 Hatchback. I was looking at the cowl tag though and realized that again like the other 74 I purchased for parts the cowl tag is held in place with screws. The first time the cowl tag didn't have anything important on it and the car was pretty much scrapped when I was done with it, so I wasn't really to worried about it. This time the car actually has some rare RPO options on the cowl tag. Now granted the car is a complete and utter basket case and the only way I would even consider looking into restoring this car is if the cowl tag can be proven as attached. So what I was wondering is if they stopped riveting on cowl tags at some point and started using screws?

My 75 and the other 4th gen parts cars I have had were all attached with screws.

Phil,
That is exactly what the screws look like.

Nova2sortster,
That about sounds right!

That means since the options look right, the trim that remains is correct, and cowl tag has RPO Z51 on it the car is a true "Spirit of America"! Really a shame the car is too far gone for restoration! It has the numbers matching complete engine 4 barrel to pan.
