Does anyone know where the resistor is located between the column switch and the coil on a 72 Nova? My coil states that it requires an external resistor, but I can't find one.

The wire from the firewall connector to the coil is a resistor wire, made of nichrome and acts as the ballast resistor. These wires normally have a cloth cover.

Thanks, I trying to replace the points with an electronic distributor and was concerned that if there is a resistor it might cause a problem.
