We have a couple guys hot rodding wagons, just not a lot. I always thought a tubbed out early 60's wagon with a BBC would be cool, but my wife says no wagons! On some points you just can't negotiate with the other half. Last time we were looking for a new car because my wife was due with our kid I had a good line on a nice top of the line mini van. Long story short, she said no! Ended up getting her a blazer to keep her happy. She says she never wants a mini van or a station wagon and as soon as my daughter is old enough to sit in the front seat she told me she wants another Roadster.

Long roofs are cool but when people have to choose a singular vehicle they often opt for the sedan or hard top that they perceive as a higher value for their limited funds. This sport is getting so expensive few of us can stable more than one ride at a time. Most of the wagon owners I have met make a wagon their third or fourth active project (and even then the wagon often stays home when it is show time so that they show their pride and joy).

try using a photo hosting page like photobucket.com or imagehosting.com and once the image is loaded, you just copy the IMG tag and paste it. hope this helps.

Just found the site! I have a 67 that I am finishing up. It has the CCP front suspension, lowered spindles w/discs, ZZ4 w/optional cam and shaved heads, 4 spd, cowl hood. I had a friend in the Nova business get me the SS seat covers and door panels made to fit the wagon. They are black with the outside of the wagon being blue. I have SS type gauges in the dash made by Shiftworks. I found some front bumper guards for the front and put them on. It also has the electric window in the rear and I have a factroy ac unit that is not installed yet. This is a very fun car to drive.

Thanks for the nod Doug G!

Yep that turd is mine...LOL! Its a tubbed 65 ChevyII Wagon street car. It had a roller cammed, aluminum headed, nitrous fed 454 in it up till 2 years ago.I ran a couple high 9's on spray with it,but it mostly ran anywhere from 10.40's to 10.70's on motor. It now has a junk 350 in it I bought for $100 off another buddy. It came out of a 77 Blazer he totaled on his way home from high school back in 88. I stuck in a 515 lift hydralic Lunati cam,a used double row timing set,an WEIAND dual plane I borrowed from dad,and my trusty 750 Hollet DP I've had for about 20 years, and my Nitrous Express plate, set on a 200 shot. It runs 13.90's on motor & 12.20's-30's on spray. Not bad for junk huh?....LOL!

Heres the 454 I used to run in it.It was 0.100" over with 12.5 SRP pistons & Brodix -2 heads.

I'm new to this forum as well and I just bought a 66 4-door. Cool cars I have always loved the 66-67 body style so I'm happy to have one. Those are some bad cars you guys posted way out of my league but cool to look at and watch.:beers:

Well i am kinda new here just bought my 1st Nova and it to is a 4 door 64 4 door to be exact here is a shot of it also i am looking for a few body side moldings if anyone can help out and knows where to point me. As you can see the guy that started the restoration before me removed all the trim still has holes but he lost the trim it sat in his shop for 6 years after he painted it so most of the stuff i got in boxes but no trim.

:thumbsup:The wagons are just coool! I have a four door sedan that is an ongoing resto project that has just gone fron the bone stock idea to the rat-done-right mode. Why not take a rust free four door and throw a massive motor in it and still have less dough in it than a rusted out and bondo'd up SS hard top? OH... let me guess, cause there arent that many foour doors on ebay. Thats cause people like'em enough to keep'em.:yes:

2 door, 4 door, Coupe or Sedan (the BEST :D) we can all bag on each other with friendship :D

i've seen a couple moor-doors with the rear doors bondo'd shut. i personally didn't care for 'em... now ta shave all the handles, drop 'er in the dirt and cruise ??? i'm all for it ;)

it's really all about what "you" like that's important... we all have varying tastes ;)

Here's a pic of my '66 100 that was taken shortly after I purchased it back in October for the princely sum of 2k. 194/'glide, Super solid, 44K miles original, unmolested (except for the quickie paint job) and previously stored for the past 18 years. Some of you may have already seen it as it's been posted in other forums on this site and at Steve's. Figured I'd post it here too, after all this is the wagon forum right?:D Is it Spring yet?:(

The only pics I have of it are when it was on the trailer the day I brought it home. It's in the garage now on jack stands. That should make a great picture. I'm swapping the steering to manual.

i have "Auto-Loc" remote opening on mine, i don't think it'd be a biggie to hide a button inside a fender though...

i'm going to shave the handles on the JollyRodder but use no solenoids. i'll just leave a window down ;)

inside handles and mechanism stays intact, just the outer handles are shaved ;)

How about remote power windows and no handles or solenoids?
What is the "auto-loc" and have you had any issues with it?
On the JollyRodder leaving the windows down when you go somewhere doesn't concern you? I plan on using the car for going places with the family and such.
Thanks

that's kind of funny... with the Flyer i know i won't be able to walk away from the car... with the JollyRodder i figured no biggie, who'd want it ??? but then i found it grabs a bit more attention than i cared for... ugly POS, why they lookin' at my car ???

so now i know that even bein' a POS, i can't really walk away from it either, so a wind wing open or a side window down won't bother me.

here's the link for Auto-Loc, i ferget the series i have but they're remote access (clicker) i can get the number if needed...

Feb 6th, 08, 02:28 PM
I'm new to this website. I have a 67 Wagon with a 194ci and a power glide. Got it for cheap and it runs! I was wondering though...Has anyone ever kept the stock front suspension and installed an LS1/LS2 engine? That's my plan right now. I don't want to replace the entire front end just to put a Gen III engine in it. I think the price of those front end kit (Heidt's, CPP, etc.) are too dang costly. What the heck are they thinking, $2,500.00! YEah right. If I can get away with the stock front end, I'll keep it.

i think this is directed at me......that pic is mid way thru the stripping , i'm almost completely done with the exception of the cowl and windshield posts. i still need to remove the windshield and find a new hood ( i think i found one ) . it's going to get paint when the weather warms up , the medium silvery blue , and maybe a ccp front end kit a little later down the road

thanks for the compliment !! when i bought it , it had a el-cheapo maaco paint job , looked ok , but had done it's duty and had it's last buff. last summer i swapped in a 305/200 in place of the 6/glide with the intention of making a semi-long distance driver that got decent gas mileage. i'm still tweaking that engine combo and have had a best of 20 mpg town/highway . not bad compared to the 6's best of 11 mpg (that was all interstate) . after the paint i'm gonna lower the stance a bit and add some torq-thrust's

Hey, new to the site here. I just sold my 79 Pontiac Lemans wagon and bought a 63 Nova wagon to replace it. Mine will be getting a 370 LS1 with L92 heads and a T56 that was going into my 67 GS. There are some cool wagons on here. I love that wagon on benchseatracing. That thing is sweet. Looking forward to starting my project, I'm sure I'll be asking for a lot of help. Thanks.
