My oldest daughter is in need of a new sending unit on her most resent buy of a 74 nova has a 350 and the fuel gauge is't working when it gets to a half of a tank it is empty so want to replace the sending unit. cant find one checked classic ind, year one ,and or sponcer and no luck any help would be great thanks

If you want to pay $300 for a sending unit, Classic Industries sells one for a '76 that will work.

You might want to check the grounds first and clean them up. The sending unit is a resistive element, so if it actually moves the needle it is probably working. A high resistance ground could be causing the problem.

will check the ground, the problem she is having is that when it reads a half of a tank it is realy empty so dont know if part of the unit has fallen off or what??? never came across this problem on the other cars that we have(68 chevelle 70 nova). but that is why we love them thanks for the help will pass it on to my daughter.
