i have a distributor out of a 66 nova v-8.not sure if it the original or not.has a casting number of 1111150.it also has the number 6b 1 on it as well...just like that....the 6b followed by a space and then the 1........anyone out there help me in identifying this thing?any help would be greatly appreciated....

Here's a link to a Chevelle site that shows that distributor being used in 283 V8s from 66-67 and a 328 in 68. It even decodes the date codes.

It looks like a valid V8 part number for a V8 Nova in 66. :yes:

the 1150 distributor was used in the following applications:

65 -283 -- Chevelle /Man trans
66-67 - 283 -- Pass, Chevelle, Chevy II // All trans
68 - 327 -- passenger, Chevelle // 4 BC 250hp all trans
it was also used in some 1968 396 trucks

Yours is dated 1966 Feb 1st. = 6B1
