JUST CAME ABOARD,LOVE THE SITE. GOING ON 7TH MONTH OF FRAME ON RESTO OF RECENTLY AQUIRED 1969 NOVA.CAR WAS A 6 CYL 3 SPEED ON FLOOR FROM FACTORY. IN THE LAST 7 MONTHS I HAVE BUILT AND INSTALLED A 396 AUTOMATIC W/ A RICHMOND 3:55 POSI. HAVE ABOUT 3 HOURS OF ROAD TIME ON CAR SINCE ENGINE INSTALL. W/ A LITTLE MORE TIMING ADJ. SHE WILL RUN SWEET. HERE IS A PROBLEM THAT I HAVE AT THIS TIME....FRONT BUMPER AND BRACKETS WERE IN BACK SEAT. CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW THE BRACKETS GET MOUNTED TO FRAME?:confused: I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIGURE THIS PUZZLE OUT. THANKS

Welcome to the board. I live over in suburbs of Plant City across the bay (contrary to my ID stating Tampa because I figure very few people have ever heard of Plant City).
From memory (it has been a few decades) the two large brackets bolt to the interior of the front sub frame with the ears pointing in. There are two long angle iron brackets that bolt to the outside with the same bolts for the first set of brackets. They should have the tabs pointing out. Bolt the bumper loosely to the big brackets then the two outer angle iron brackets. After snugging up to keep it from falling off adjust your fit and then tighten everything up.
