I have recently fallen in love with the classy chevrolet Nova. In my search for a project car, I have found a lot of 62's at low prices in good condition and I am wondering if there is a reason for this. Maybe it's the four doors? I can't figure it out.
Any takers?

hi and welcome
my best guess to your answer/ back in the day a four door car was the family car,two door was the sport coupe or 2-door post etc seperated
you from mom or dad.
a lot of four door cars are shunned by the cruz-carshow crowd,(not all)
(trust me i know when i would take our 55 chevy belair 4-door to cruz-nites
i would get that''too bad its a four door''.)
i stayed up to watch a make over of a one of those ''pimp my ride'' or ''foose'' tv. programs
they took a 56 chevy 4-door stock and cut the roof off and rear doors.
added some new rear quarters and two front doors and made a convertable?
now up to date the youngsters of today see/have mostly cars four doors and don't equel it with the family car.
what ever your chose just make sure the body/frame is free from rust.
what you see today at the cruz/carshows doesn't look like yesteryear
