Hey Guys,

I come over from the Camaro site. Just completed restoring an all original 68 Camaro RSSS BB (4 years in the making). Anyway, found a 72 Nova (project car) and would like to get some opinions on it. Please keep in mind that I want to fix it the way I want it and more than likely not original. Wanting just a street eater!!! The car is basically a plain Jane. Here are some specifics:

1972 Nova
2-door
307 engine w/ 2bbl
350 automatic
10-bolt
black interior with bench seats

Almost everything is still original to the car. Not much rust, does need lower quarters. Floor and trunk pans solid. The guy wants $3000 for it. Does that sound reasonable? I know Camaros well enough to determine value but not Novas. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How many miles are on it? Just guessing, Id say about $2500-3000 is in the ballpark

I didn't even look at the mileage, but the car is solid except for the lower quarters. Sounds like the $3k is reasonable. I would probably put a beefed up 350 w/ 4-speed making it a clone. Thanks for the input.

Tim welcome to the Nova team. My opinion is for a running car that does not need extensive body panel replacement it is reasonable.

The 72 has an 8.5" 10 bolt and will take a lot more torque than the old 8.2" rear.

Seems like a decent deal. Maybe he will come down to 2500. Then i would grab it. Hard to find good deals on these old cars anymore.

350. 4-speed should tear the street up sufficiently.
