Hello everyone, new to this board. I have a 67 Nova SS with a 355 and a turbo 350, L-79 rear-end and 4.10 gears. I am curious if anyone makes narrower front suspension pieces ie. A-Frames and lower control arms. I see there are Tubular pieces, but to my knowledge they are all stock dimensions, any help here?... TIA bob

Welcome to the board.

I can not help with a narrowed front suspension. The tubular pieces are designed to lower, and compensate for the original bad geometry on cruising. The old front end was designed for a four cylinder econo box with a 45 mile an hour cruise and a 60 mph top end. Original designers had no idea the SS would have a SBC between the shock towers. McPhurson strut can be replaced with heavier pieces but you need to watch camber, toe-in, and caster as well as the instant centers for the brakes, or it will be a bear to control.

Big Dave, thanks for the input, the info is very useful. I already have 2 inch dropped spindles and the problem arose after in stalling 13 inch after-market disc brakes, seems as though they moved the front tread out about 3/8 inch per side, now I have tire/turning problems. I thought maybe one solution might be the narrower suspension parts, my next thought is to get new wheels with more offset to the inside. Either method is liable to be pricey. thanks again... bob

Only known solution is to go with deeper off-sets. The Wilwood/Baer style 13 inch rotors use PBR calipers as used on the 'vette so the extra width is a known problem (says so on the sales brochure on the bottom of the page in 4 point type using Pica Elite Italic fonts; some times printed in the same color as the background).
