I found a "1970 Nova with SS trim" (maybe a clone). I don't mind a "clone", just want to know what I am paying for... A "correct" clone would be preferred over just some SS emblems slapped on...

I was curious what is supposed to be in the interior. I read in another thread that factory guages were part of the SS package? is that correct?

It has buckets. Should the buckets be the "Strato" type like a Chevelle, or a "Camaro" type?

Are Repro door panels available? What about consoles? Are stock floor shifters/console easy to find?

Where can I find pictuires of the guages, upholstery, console, etc?

Thanks

If I remember correctly in 1970 SS was mainly a trim option. It could have buckets or bench, console or no console, gauges or no gauges, auto or Manual tranny, deluxe interior or basic. The big auto options that came with it was disc brakes, maybe the rear sway bar, and maybe a 12 bolt rear. To get the best idea if it was a true SS car the engine numbers are what you need to compare.

Now I'm guessing here and I'm sure I will be corrected shortly!
