I just managed to win an origional 62-75 Chevrolet body and Chassis parts manual on E-bay. I've seen these a lot, but never really understood why they are so expensive. At least it is another part of history to go along with my car!

I have one on cd. I have been on ebay for 2 days buying manuals I have wanted and did not see that one listed. What did you have to pay for it?

$112.00 with shipping! A lot of money for a book and I know the CD copies of it sell for like $10.00, but I hate browsing CD's for info. I think I did pretty good considering the reproductions go for like $125.00+ and this is origional and looks like it is mint shape. Here is the Item number if you want to look at the finished auction 170085134436.

Would have been nice to have the item number before the end of the auction :D
That is not a bad price. I have always preferred printed manuals. I have comtemplated taking my cd to work and printing it on the color laser printer but I think the company would frown on that ;)

I'm sure it would have been, but then I would have been bidding against you! ;) If I see another one in the future I'll let you know! I don't tend to point out auctions I'm bidding on to people just so you know!:noway:

After all we have been thru you still don't trust me :D
My user name on ebay is dispatcher667, if we are ever bidding against each other let me know, I don't like bidding against people I know it costs us both too much money.
I was trying to win a bid on a snap on wrench today. It was a double box 15MM/9/16". It would be real handy when changing oil on the cars I own. One guy kept bidding over me, but I stopped when it got close to the new price. In snap on's online store it sold for $36 with free shipping and this guy bid all the way to $29 and is going to pay shipping. After $16 I was only seeing how high his proxy was :p Of course I stood the chance of overpaying if I kept going.

I'll keep an eye out for you! I'm a snipe though so I don't bid until the last minute if I can. Makes sure I don't second guess my bid up more if I don't win with the first bid I'm willing to make!
