View Full Version : Hey Bruno!! (1slow7t)
I just wanted to thank you again for the valve covers... I'm starting to get things together for some major under hood detailing and thought you would be interested in seeing how the valve covers turned out after cleaning them up and painting them with crinkle paint...

Youngladd Feb 9th, 07, 06:37 PM Just looking and came across the pics and I will say they look nice for and old set of M/T. Kinda reminds me of me, old that is.
Thanks guys,
The motivation is I got my license in '72 and the Nova's a '72 - everything I'm doing with it is old school. Bruno not only hooked me up with a door piece I needed, he read I was taking a trip in the "wayback" machine and included a great set of M/T's in the shipping... A little cleaning, some paint and elbo grease and not too bad...
I also recently picked up an accel super coil and a torker manifold among other goodies. The hard part is deciding if I should keep the hi-jackers out back or not...:noway:
camcojb Feb 9th, 07, 10:42 PM I probably sold at least 100 sets of those "in the day". Looks great Dennis.

Big Dave Feb 10th, 07, 01:31 PM To get that 70's disco look you have to think panel paint and graphics, may be some lace. I have a complete collection of Hot Rods back to 1960 if you need any inspirational photos of what was "in" then.

DjD Feb 10th, 07, 02:18 PM A buddys older sisters boyfriend had a dark blue Falcon way back when and he hung what we called dingle balls around the windlace/headliner. It was a lowrider thing that carried over into some muscle cars.
I did like the subtle lace panels and the torch smoke under clear but the other show paint tricks like blow dots and 256 color tape line designs and over laping panels were too much for my street tastes... Sure enjoyed them on boats at the lake and at car shows though. Solid paint works for me, I need a new headliner, have a posi rearend to go through and multi-leaf springs to spend money on for now...
I always look for old mags at swapmeets Dave, I love the trips down memory lane they send me off on.

Wow, they really look nice, you did a great job! Glad you enjoy it, can't wait to see them instaled on a nicely detailed Nova engine.:beers:
DjD Feb 13th, 07, 09:56 PM The torker manifold just arrived today!! :hurray: I'll post more pic's as I get it cleaned up and prep'd for the install... $30 on ebay, $20 for shipping not a stripped thread or ding in the thing, priceless!!
Another trip in the "wayback" machine...
DjD Feb 16th, 07, 12:51 AM Manifold is all cleaned up now after a bit of glass beading...
