i'm building my 73 nova for the strip. i've got frame connectors and all in place and i want to run a bigger tire, about a 30x10.5 tire. right now a 28x9 is on it and it's pretty close to rubbing. my budget is tight and i want to mini tub the nova to run the bigger tire. does anyone know of a kit or a good site to go to for new shock mounts to go on the axle and new pearches for the top to like swap left to right. any help would be good. i went to the local speed shop and they wanted to sell me a whole kit from s&w with frame rails and frame connectors which i didn't need so then they wanted to sell me a ladder bar set up which isn't what i was asking for. i'm gonna keep the leafs and traction bars on for now. but any help on a good parts site or a kit would be awsome.

there really isn't any "kits" out there to do this thing , but i can help ya out. If you aren't any good with a welder you should take to a chassis shop or someone who knows what they are doin.
1. You will either need to section and widen you existing wheel tubs or cut the old ones out and put in pre fabbbed tubs.
2. You will need a spring re-location kit and spring perches for the axles.(competition engineering sells both)
3. You can make new shock mounts by welding a piece of 1" tubing between the frame rails and welding shock mount tabs to that 1" tubing and the axle tube to mount the shocks straight up & down.

Detroit Speed makes for an first gen Camaro. I believe the floor and trunk is similar enough to maybe use them.
