Just doing the right thing by introducing myself. My name is Earl and I live in Northeast NC. I'm 27 years old and I'm the proud owner of 4 Full Size Jeeps. I also bracket race a '71 Nova with my dad. I'm learning hands on mechanics as I go, by working on my own stuff. I've done the UTI thing where I learned automotive theory, but there wasn't alot of real hands on training. I was in the automotive parts business for 4 years, 3 of which I managed a parts store. I'm sure you'll see me around quite a bit, whether I'm asking for advice or trying to help someone looking for parts. I'll see yall around. Here's a couple of pics of our Nova.
The car hasn't been out of the trailer since late '05. Our best time then was 7.05 @ 97 MPH. The paint is from a Plymouth Prowler; Burnt Orange of some sort.
We're going to go through the motor later this month and actually race this year:thumbsup:

Hi, Y'all!!!
I'm Robert. I live near Charlotte, NC and I work at a shop in Fort Mill, SC that specializes in street performance cars, mostly American.
I have been bulding cars and engines since 1960 with performance always the goal.
I have raced in circles, straight lines, road courses, and water. I hate water.
My favorite engine is the big block Chevy, but, if it runs, I like it.
I am a firm beleiver that you cannot outrun a turbocharger, but blowers of any kind, nitrous, and normally aspirated are all fun.
I have a 62 Chevy II I am deciding whether to build a turbo inline 6 or a 406 small block for now.
Water taught me about horsepower and long life that I would have taken a much longer time to learn. A good boat engine will live FOREVER in a car, but the average car engine won't make a good weekend in a boat!!!

He is thinking about selling it. Not advertised yet. It has a 355 with a mild comp cam and vette alum. heads. Hooker headers, duals. TCI turbo 350 with stock convertor. 10 bolt posi with 373 gears. Holley 670 avenger carb. Nuthin crazy just a fun truck. He is thinking about selling it or stripping drivetrain for a box nova I have for him. Dan
