Hello,
I'm in the middle, about waist deep in restoring/putting back together my 71 nova, from a 3spd 6cyl to its current state 350 sb and a muncie 4 spd...This is my first build so these may be easy questions but...

1) Can anyone provide me with a site or a schematic or even simple directions how to wire up a tachometer and a 3 guage pod?

2) Kill switch, I remember hearing stories growing up about my grandfather's GTO being stolen on numerous occasions until he had a kill switch installed- is there a kit I can buy or simply splice a switch off an ignition wire? Its solely for anti-theft purposes, not track set up so its got to be inside the car and hidden.

Thanks for the help, I'm sure yall will see more of my posts here and there

on the tach
red = keyed power
black= ground
white= lights (on your fuse block there should be a male terminal that says lights )
green = tach output (if your running a GM hei its marked right on the coil cover if you have ponits type dist then its the neg term on your coil and if your running an MSD then its the terminal on the MSD box

on the three gauge panel the gauges should be marked as the which terminals
Ign= keyed power
Sen=sender
Grnd=ground

if you need any other help just ask the guys around here are a real good bunch :beers: :thumbsup:

Oh and on the kill switch all I used do was put a switch inline on the power wire to the coil or you can put one inline to the starter if you want
on the starter wire you just put the switch on the purple wire under the dash

Here's a link to several wiring options for "starter interrupt" circuits. The diagrams all use relays, which allow you to use a smaller switch to control the load or even "hide" it, using one of your existing circuits - like a car horn or brake lights.
