I believe it was '75 were they went to the 2nd generation Camaro sub frame. With '68 through '74 sharing parts with the first generation Camaro's sub frame. Global West and PST sell parts without making any distinction between them as to fittment. Shocks, etc can be bought at parts houses for either. I am waiting for there to be a price difference for the more exotic first gen Camaro to show up at the parts counter just as they have for Cadillac parts (they're the same as Chevy Impala parts but they charge more for the same part because it is going on the more valuable Cadillac so they figure they can gouge you on the price). Big dave Thanks You Dave Very Much Gloryhound Jan 25th, 07, 10:07 AM Dave The cost difference already exists. I sold two sets of control arms. One from a 69 Nova advertised as Nova control arms and one set from a Firebird advertised as Firebird/Camaro advertised as Camaro/Nova/Firebird. Both sets were stripped of bushings and ball joints, sand blasted, and primered. I got around $200 for the Nova set and about $350 for the Firebird/Camaro set. It pays to add Camaro to your listings in E-bay on parts that cross. Big Dave Jan 25th, 07, 04:58 PM That's just sick. But I'm glad you got the money. Philip Jan 25th, 07, 09:18 PM hmmm..note to self, only buy Nova parts from Gloryhound ;) Gloryhound Jan 25th, 07, 10:22 PM That's just sick. But I'm glad you got the money. E-bay is a fickle place. I sold a lot of 67-72 truck parts on E-bay and things that I thought would be worth big bucks sold for pennies on the dollar while things I thought wouldn't be worth the initial bid went through the roof. But when space is limited you can't afford to sit on parts you don't need and wait till someone is looking and asking for it. I prefer to normally trade parts, but I can't let them sit around since I would end up having to store half it outdoors where it would get ruined. Phil: Don't worry I got a special deal for you half off twice the price! :D Philip Jan 25th, 07, 10:58 PM Phil: Don't worry I got a special deal for you half off twice the price! :D David I had no doubts that you would take good care of me :p sweet70beast Feb 2nd, 07, 01:24 AM My Dad has 74 Nova A-arms on his 68 Camaro. |
