View Full Version : headers for l6 Nova_75_77 Jan 19th, 07, 08:36 PM i was wondering if anyone made a header for a l6 250 with the one piece head and intake Big Dave Jan 19th, 07, 09:26 PM Up until I actually check catalogs looking for a set I would have said yes they do; but I don't see any past '74 250 L-6 for a second gen Camaro or your Nova. Big Dave Philip Jan 19th, 07, 10:00 PM Starting in 75 the exhaust manifold was cast into the head. To run headers the early model head will have to be used. If you do switch to an early head try and find one from a 194 c.i. engine. The combustion chambers are smaller and it will raise the compression. Gloryhound Jan 19th, 07, 10:26 PM My uncle has a 250 I6 in his 1970 Chevy truck with an Aluminum head, headers (Yes it is dual and has true dual exhaust all the way back) , and a 4 barrel intake. You would swear it had a BBC under the hood if you ever took it for a ride! Motorhead62 Jan 19th, 07, 10:35 PM If you want to hop up an inline 6 don't even think about using the uni-head design type engine. There are plenty of 6's laying around for free. The best engine to get is the 292 big 6. There have been many fast cars built with Chevy 292's Check out this site: http://www.inliners.org/ Good Luck :D |
