I thought I read somewhere that the L6 frame mounts will bolt up to a sbc or did I read it wrong :confused:

I have a 71 ventura with a 250 6 cyl that will have my 454 in it this spring but for now I need to put a 350 in cuz the 6 shyte the bed on me (lifters need oil ) :o :clonk:

They are different in width than the V-8 mount and are bolted to the chassis in a different location. The V-8 mount will go over the L-6 frame stand when relocated on the chassis but it will be a sloppy fit allowing the engine to move around. They changed in mid year '68 as a result of a law suit that ended in a nation wide recall of all GM cars to have the motors strapped down.

alright it didnt sound right to me anyway I'm ordering the bbc mounts from classic industries anyone use these or have any suggestions towards another brand

If you can't locate them from Classic Ind. ,try The Paddock .They have a huge inventory of Parts.
