Mikemoore Nov 17th, 09, 06:57 PM So a guy i work with has a 72 Nova with a new 350, it runs really strong and everything else is original.... the paint is perfect, the interior is a lil less than perfect but still in great shape.. but hes only selling it for 3000.00.. it runs great i drove it today and theres didnt seems to be any problems.. should i buy this car from him.. i know this seems stupid to ask but what could be some serious underlying problems.. thanks
SHIFTY4 Nov 17th, 09, 06:59 PM 2 door or 4 door ?
check very carefully for any rust issues.
a 2 door car is worth a lot more than any 4 door just so you're aware ;)
i wish you the best, hope it's a good deal for ya.

Mikemoore Nov 17th, 09, 07:00 PM 2 door.. its a beautiful blue color and it has an SS grill but im thinking its an original SS.. maybe just the grill.. i also went under around and inside the engine bay and trunk no rust or even bondo filler as i could tell to the touch and the "knock" test didnt revel any thuds or dull spots
SHIFTY4 Nov 17th, 09, 07:01 PM poke around here for info ;)

Jackel Nov 19th, 09, 09:53 AM Mike, sounds more like a steal to me than a buy, especially for that price. Come on, did you buy from a 90 year old grandma? Let's see those pictures....Jackel

higleyml Nov 19th, 09, 03:07 PM WOW a 72SS with perfect paint and great interior for 3K? What was it that you found that told you it is an original SS?
Big Dave Nov 19th, 09, 07:44 PM In 1972 it is the VIN.

Yes I know that but was wondering what he found...he didnt seem to know much about Nova's and the vin is only common knowledge to those that do. Just wondering?
69bu Nov 27th, 09, 10:00 AM Sounds like a good deal to me even if it isn't an S.S.
Alice the Malice Nov 27th, 09, 02:31 PM That's a sweet deal! The guy must have been hurting for some cash. My only problems with me "new" '74 were with the wiring: exposed wire to the starter, rear brake lights not working, etc. It's pretty minor to fix though..
