I am looking for an assembly manual for the 1966 Chevy II Nova to help with my restoration/repairs. What are you guys using out there? Preferably looking for a repair manual with plenty of illustrations and "blown-up" pics to show all hardware and components. Would also need it to be fairly self explanatory as I am not a mechanic. Any suggestions would be great.

in the "Research Info (VIN & Cowl Info)" section at www.JollyRodder.com you'll find this link, http://www.gregsonline.com/
he can supply you with a "Fisher Body Manual" and also a "Assembly Manual" both are worth the investment. in my opinion they'll certainly pay for themselves time and time again with their use. ;)

Thank you for the quick reply. I will definitely look into both of those manuals. The assembly manual has those "exploded" images where it shows all of the pieces like screws and stuff? I want to do an overhaul on my car, but am finding it somewhat difficult to find the necessary screws and bolts to remove.

I would buy a parts manual as well as if you have an old part number an experienced counter man could concievably cross reference it if it is still in production. (The feds make the manufactures keep parts in stock for seven years after a car was sold. The last small block was built in 2001 which is nine years ago so expect GM to start drying up on little used parts like sheet metal and brackets for motors).

Dave, that is also a very good idea. I guess I'll be buying those manuals to help with my restoration. Thanks again for all of the replys! If there are any other reference guides that I should look into, please let me know.
