On Friday I picked up another Nova. It appears to be a 73 or 74. However it is titled as a 72. I went to look at the car with intentions of buying it as a parts car. However, it is in much better shape than my 72 is. So I might be sticking a 4speed and a SBC in it and having 2 running Novas!! THe car has little rust and has a lot of new parts on it. I got a very good deal on it so I'm very excited about it and had to share with you all!!

Haha I doubt it will stimulate the economy as cheap as I got it!! I bought it for parts, but its in such good shape I'll probably stick an engine and tranny back in it!!

Lets see. Dirt cheap, titled as a 1972 but it is a 1973 car..... Hmmm I would check your parts car before going any further for being stolen. Now is the best time, before you become emotionally attached to anything. Matter of fact I would not let it in my yard as the owner could claim your new BDS chromed blown BB 540 as being his long lost 307 that was in the car at the time it was stolen and the cops would give it to him and you would have to go to civil court to get it back if you could.

You make a very good point Dave. Its hard to trust anyone these days. So my first plan of action is to talk to the officer at the courthouse and see what I will need fixed to do the inspection. I'm not sure if I will have to have the windshield fixed, lights working, etc. If thats the case, I will find out where to check the numbers in order to see if the car is stolen. I did get a signed bill of sale from the owner stating that I did purchase the car from him along with the signed Kansas title. So we will see what happens, and hopefully he was telling me the truth! I'll keep everyone updated!

It looks to me like someone put a 72 column shift ac car dash and column in the car. The car itself is a 4 speed non ac 73-74car. Everything looks factory though, but I can see the edge of the dash doesn't line up perfectly with the edge of the car when the pillar covers are off... The trim tag on the firewall also shows 72. Where on the car itself could I find a VIN # to have checked to make sure it isn't stolen?!?

Does it have a hidden vin when you take the the blower motor out of the box??
