Hello, I am so glad I found this website. I just purchased a very sentimental 1972 nova and it will be my first restoration project, in fact my first automotive project of any kind.

The car was my best friend's, who was killed by a drunk driver a few years back. His dad was retiring and looking to sell the car and gave me first dibs. It was a project car when my friend passed away so I am going to restart it and finish. It has a 327, 4 bolt main, bored 40 over. It has been sitting for awhile and although it was started regularly it was not driven much. The transmission is in sad shape so I will most likely focus there and as well as upgrading the brakes.

Jeff, good luck with the restoration and sorry to hear about your friend... but I'm sure he'll be in the passenger seat for the first ride :D

Al & Doug, thank you for your support. It is going to take a while to do it right but so sweet it will be when I'm done. Still haven't decided on the paint but it will be special.
