Tom Mobley Oct 9th, 05, 02:45 AM IIRC, 62-65, 66-67, 68-72, and later. I had a 63 Chevy II (not Nova), 4 cyl, 3 on the tree, 13" 4 lug wheels. It was a nice straight car. Had a left over 60 over 327 that had been in a sprint car, stuffed it in there. Had a big cross-flow radiator, stayed cool on the streets of Phoenix. 1st gear was useless, but 2nd was forever. eventually trashed the 3-spd, installed a Turbo 400. The cam was a little much for the auto trans, the car became known as Dumbo because of the way the doors flapped while open idling in gear. The whole car was rocked by the engine. The right door used to pop open when it hit second real hard. It was a fun car. Plain white, 13s, bottle caps, skinny tires, plain vinyl seat, rubber floor mats. Wonder what it weighed? I'll never forget it, it was a blast.
