there was an issue a few months ago that caused the Admin to take the chat function off line here at Team Nova...

it was just recently discussed and it's being looked into as far as bringing it back online.

Even though we may show 150 people on line at any one time if you look at the bottom of the page you will note there are usually less than 30 members (I have no idea what the others are doing lurking here everyday). Those 30 could chat if we had a board, but the vast majority viewing the board couldn't until they joined up. Now on team Chevelle you have a few more members than we do, so finding two people to carry on a slow drawn out typed exchange at 150 baud with others interjecting their ideas without your even being aware that they have typed a response message faster than you can go on.

Hey Roy, I doubt there will be very many people who want to use the chat room, they wont be able to run there post count up by using it.

I think the more serious amongst us can be trusted not to abuse the chance to use it in a cordial mannner I have seen problems on other boards but usually the regulars will find ways of moderating it and the trouble makers dont receive any notice or attention which usually sends them on their way

Sorry for getting sidetracked with BS Brian, Roy, Rich and everyone else who've expressed interest... the Administrator is looking into this and i'm sure after the Labor day weekend we should have some sort of answer for ya. yeah it's been a week or more since the subject was brought up but there's been a lot for the Administrator to take care of since the AutoForums group took over.

i'll check into the situation personally and get back to you asap... nothing can be done until after the holiday weekend though, ok ?
