Description: I bought this 1970 SS 396 / 375hp L78 Nova from Stefano Bimbi the owner of Nickey Chevrolet. Stefano has known this car for over 20 years and has information about this car back to the second owner. He deals with some of the best muscle cars out there and he has one of the best reputations in the country. This Nova SS 396 is in exceptional condition and shows only 20,300 mile on the odometer. The frame off nut and bolt restoration was done before I bought the car and they used many of its original correct parts. The quality and attention to detail is one of the best that I have seen. This car has been driven on rare occasion but it could be a local car show winning trailer queen with very little detailing. It is equipped with the SS package and the highest horsepower motor available from the factory the L/78 396/375HP big block. These motors came with all the best high performance parts available from Chevrolet at the time. This Nova is also equipped with a Muncie 4-speed transmission, power front disc brakes, 3:55 gear ratio 12-bolt posi rear end, multi leaf rear springs, 14"x7" 5-spoke steel wheels, original style white letter bias ply tires, special SS hood and SS badges. The car was repainted it’s original color fathom blue and has black interior per the original trim tag on the firewall. This car was restored with a correct date-coded CKO code motor; 661 case Muncie 4-speed transmission and CBT coded 12-bolt 3:55 posi. All the floors, trunk pan, firewall, rockers and sheet metal look original with no repair work that I can find but like any car this age it is not 100% perfect. I know these cars well and this car is real not a clone. I have not found the original build sheet or any paperwork and I would be asking more for the car if I had it. If that is a concern for you then I would welcome having the car professionally inspected at my home. I have a bunch of detailed pictures of this special car if you need more, just e-mail me and thanks for looking.
